Local bands to march Saturday at Bluffton

Ten Allen County high school marching bands will present their shows Saturday, Sept. 10. The On the Banks of the Wabash marching band festival at Bluffton High School is the first in a series of festivals and contests that will keep bands on the field most Saturdays as late as Nov. 12.

Bluffton High School is at 1 Tiger Trail, Bluffton. Concession stands will be open. Programs listing the shows and leaders of all 24 participating bands will be for sale at the gates. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and seniors.

8:27 p.m., East Noble

Open Class A

9:06 p.m., Northrop

Exhibition

9:45 p.m., Bluffton

Awards for Scholastic B, Scholastic A, Open D and Open C will be presented at 7:35 p.m.

Awards for Open Class A and B will be presented at 9:58 p.m.

Bishop Dwenger High School will be at Lafayette Jefferson High School on Saturday, Sept. 10. The Marching Saints take the field at 5:25 p.m.

Leo Jr./Sr. High School will not participate at Bluffton but will participate Sept. 17 at DeKalb High School.
