Heartland Sings a Merry Christmas

The Allen County Courthouse Rotunda may seem like an unusual place for a Christmas concert, but for a group of area vocal artists, it was the perfect setting.

Under the direction of Maestro Robert Nance, Heartland Sings recently presented four “Spirit of Christmas” performances in the beautiful and resonant Courthouse Rotunda, with “resonant” being the key word.  The historic building’s construction, with its unique tile floor designs and magnificently muraled dome, help to  create rich, vibrant acoustics that perfectly complemented the 27 singing voices.

Founded in 1997, Heartland Sings is today a broad based vocal arts organization, consisting of five full-time vocal artists, 24 part-time vocal artists, and over 80 volunteer vocalists.
