Students from throughout the area are invited to attend the Homestead College & Career Fair, from 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 6. Homestead High School is at 4310 Homestead Road, Fort Wayne.
There is no admission charge, and prior registration is not necessary.
Students or their parents may visit with representatives of about 80 four-year universities, two-year colleges, and vocational schools from across the country. “We have invited representatives from various careers to participate, as well as the armed services and financial institutions,” the school said in a statement.
“It gives students a chance to see what colleges are out there,” said Rachey Bracey, guidance counselor. “It gives them a chance to talk with a lot of representatives about college and career options all in one place.”
At about 7 p.m., a drawing will be held to award a $200 scholarship. The winner must be present for the drawing.
