Eleven high school bands will perform Saturday, Sept. 16, in the first Parade of Champions band invitational at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne.

The university has partnered with Snider High School to create the festival, which absorbs some of the bands that used to participate in the Snider festival.

Kevin Klee, the director of the Snider Mighty Panther marching band, released the Parade of Champions schedule Thursday. Snider, as host, will march in exhibition and will not compete against other bands for honors.

Steven Kandow directs the USF Marching Pride, which also will march in exhibition after the morning and afternoon segments.

Admission is $7 for adults, and $5 for students and senior citizens. Food concessions will be available.
