Six northeast Indiana bands have earned slots in the Indiana State School Music Association marching band state finals Saturday, Nov. 4, in Indianapolis. Ten bands will compete in each of four classes at Lucas Oil Stadium, 500 S. Capital Ave.
Admission is $20 for adults and $18 for students and preschoolers. Gates open at 9 a.m. Find further details at issma.net.
The Marching Pride of Whitko High School will perform in Class D at 11:20 a.m.
The Baron Brigade of DeKalb High School will march in Class B finals at 2:48 p.m.
The Marching Cadets of Concordia Lutheran High School will perform in Class C at 6 p.m. The Marching Hornets of Angola High School will perform at 6:13 p.m.
The Charger Pride of Carroll High School will march in Class A at 8:31 p.m. The Spartan Alliance of Homestead High School will perform at 8:44 p.m.
Ten bands perform in each class, having earned the placements Saturday at four, 20-band semistates in or near Indianapolis.
The Homestead band has reached the state finals every year since 1987. Brad Wadkins directs the 276 members of the marching Spartans in “Of Fire and Ice.”
