Indiana Buddhist Temple

Indiana Buddhist Temple is a meditation learning center.

It was founded in 2003 by Bhante Devananda. Bhante emphasized that the temple is open to people of all religious beliefs, cultures and backgrounds.

The temple recently celebrated Kathina, a Buddhist festival which comes in October at the end of the three-month Asian rainy season.

It is a time of giving, and for laypeople to express gratitude to Buddhist monks by bringing donations to temples, including new robes for the monks.

The temple offers guided meditation sessions that are open to the public 6:30 p.m. every Monday and Thursday.
