Fort Wayne’s Voices of Unity choral group will present “Grateful, Praise Celebration 2018,” at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, at IPFW’s Rhinehart Music Center.
Tickets are $16 for adults, $11 for ages 65 or older, $11 for students, and $5 for ages 12 and younger. Children may contribute a canned food item for free admission.
The Unity Youth Choir includes 66 singers ages 7 to 19 from various backgrounds in the Fort Wayne community. Marshall White serves as director and youth coach for the Unity Performing Arts Program.
Tickets are available at upaf.com or by calling (260) 481-6719. Tickets also will be available at the concert.
The program will feature guest soloists from five local churches and one from Indianapolis, as Voices of Unity singers share songs of praise and worship.
“People from various ethnicities, nationalities and religious backgrounds attend the Praise Celebration concerts to enjoy soulful, nontraditional music performed by VOU students, worship leaders and soloists,” the organization said in a statement. “This is indeed a very powerful evening of diversity.”
The Voices of Unity also will perform at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at the Martin Luther King Unity Day celebration at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne.
