Retired Navy SEAL to speak at Northeast Indiana Base Community Council luncheon


FORT WAYNE — A retired U.S. Navy SEAL and author will be speaker at Northeast Indiana Base Community Council’s next speaker series luncheon.

Jeff Eggers, co-author of the best-selling book “Leaders, Myth and Reality,” will be the keynote speaker 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Feb. 13 at Parkview Mirro Center, 10622 Parkview Plaza, in the Grand Hall.

Eggers was a Navy SEAL for 20 years and was commander of the Special Operations Task Unit in western Iraq. He was also operations officer and mission commander for the Navy’s undersea special operations command. He is currently a senior policy advisor as well as a security professional and leadership consultant.

Tickets are available at at a cost of $20 for members, active military and veterans, or $25 for the general public. A gold table that seats eight is available for $500.

THE NIBCC has existed since 2011 with the purpose of unifying military and civilian components of the community. Former speakers at the luncheon series include former Black Hawk pilot Michael Durant and Danielle Chrysler, the Indiana director of the Office of Defense Development.
