FWCS announces new principals for upcoming school year

FORT WAYNE — The Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of School Trustees on Monday, March 25, approved the following administrative appointments for the 2019-20 school year:

Jennifer Evans, Bloomingdale Elementary Principal

Jennifer Evans began her career in education in 1999 as a substitute teacher for FWCS. She then taught English for two years in Southwest Allen County Schools. She returned to FWCS in 2012 as a building coach at Northcrest Elementary, and during the 2013-14 school year, she served as an administrative intern at Adams Elementary. In 2014, she was named principal of Maplewood Elementary. Jennifer received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Indiana University Fort Wayne.

Allison Holland, Adams Elementary Principal

Allison Holland began her career in education in 2008 as a second-grade teacher at John Glenn Schools in North Liberty, Ind. In 2012, she moved to Plymouth Community Schools where she served as an instructional technology coach for four years. She then moved to Huntington County Community Schools where she served as principal of Lancaster Elementary for one year. In 2017, she joined Fort Wayne Community Schools as assistant principal at Brentwood Elementary. Allison received her Bachelor’s Degree from Bethel College and her Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Alexandra Trevino, Maplewood Elementary Principal

Alex Trevino began her education career with Indianapolis Public Schools as a special education teacher in 2007. She joined Fort Wayne Community Schools two years later as a special education teacher at Forest Park Elementary. In 2013, she moved to Lindley Elementary as a third-grade teacher and became an administrative intern at Adams Elementary in 2016. For the past two years, Alex has been the assistant principal at Weisser Park Elementary School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Saint Francis and her Master’s Degree from IPFW.
