Special interest courses on history, media, more

The Allen County Extension Homemakers will offer the following programs this winter and spring. The general public is invited to attend. Prior registration is required as some class space is limited. Any and all lesson fees must be paid in advance to hold reservations. Registration forms are available at the Extension Office and on the web at extension.purdue.edu/allen. All programs are held at the Allen County Extension Office on the IPFW campus, 4001 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne.

Parkview Huntington on telecardiology platform

HUNTINGTON — The Parkview Heart Institute, in partnership with Parkview Physicians Group – Cardiology, Parkview Huntington Hospital and Professional Emergency Physicians, has introduced a new way to deliver care to cardiology patients. The first of its kind in northeast Indiana, the telecardiology platform allows admitted patients to meet via video from PHH with a cardiologist at PHI, creating a higher level of cardiology care in Huntington and reducing transfers to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

$40,000 gift allocated to Welcome Center

Huntington University announced it has received a $40,000 donation from First Federal Savings Bank and Steve and Alyce Zahn of Huntington. The funds will be allocated to the university’s recently completed Welcome Center.

Hoffman honored for occupational therapy

Huntington University’s Dr. Denise Hoffman has been awarded the honor of Roster of Fellow for the Michigan Occupational Therapy Association. The award was presented at the association’s annual conference.
