A special community ceremony was held Nov. 11 to dedicate the restored Memorial Grove in Fort Wayne’s Memorial Park.
Operation MP-125, an initiative between Warrior Breed Motorcycle Club and the Fort Wayne Parks Dept. recently restored the Memorial Park Grove to honor deceased veterans from WWI.
Tulip, white oak, hackberry and elm trees were planted in late October to replace over 70 of the grove trees planted 100 years ago to honor the 125 Allen County residents who died while serving in the U.S. military during World War I.
The Warrior Breed Motorcycle Club, whose members are honorably discharged U.S. military veterans, was formed about five years ago.
