Composer and educator Tim Waugh conducts handbell ringers from five area churches in a concert at Trinity English Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. Participating musicians came from: Emmanuel Lutheran Church, New Haven; First Mennonite Church, Berne; and First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, Plymouth Congregational Church and Trinity ELC in Fort Wayne. A percussionist and a flutist also participated. The massed ensemble performed three selection, the handbell duet of Irene Ator and Jane Snow performed a selection, and Trinity ELC’s Trinity Ringers and Celebration Ringers each performed a selection under the direction of Mitch Rorick. Luke Fitzpatrick performed on flute and Rich Karcher on percussion. Waugh is the artistic director and founding conductor of Charlotte Bronze Handbell Ensemble, a professional community choir, based in uptown Charlotte, N.C.
