Two-EE’s Winery in Huntington is on track to complete its 7,000 square-foot expansion in August.
The winery, located at 6808 N U.S. Highway 24 E Huntington, is adding new winemaking facilities and event space.
Right now, the production team is crammed for space, said Stephanie McIntyre, director of marketing and events for Two-EEs. The expansion will allow for larger tanks to increase wine production, a new bottling line and additional office space.
The 2,000-square-foot tasting room, dubbed “The Barrel Room,” will be able to accommodate special events with more than 100 guests. Previously, the winery had to turn away large parties, especially during its popular Uncorked events.
“In the past year, we’ve been turning away people in droves that want to hold large events here,” McIntyre said.
The space will create opportunities for wine tours and an immersive experience for customers.
“We’re hoping to give guests a more immersive experience when it comes to wine making and what we do here,” she said.
The winery has also recently additional parking and an outdoor bar on its patio.
For Eric and Emily Harris, owners and the “EE’s” of Two-EE’s Winery, the expansion is the realization of six years of work and planning.
“Emily and I have dreamed up the details of this space since the day we opened our doors and realized, ‘This is going to be big!’” Harris said in a prepared statement. “As Fort Wayne natives, we’re thrilled to be able to bring our passion to our home town, and add to the list of everything that makes this area great.”
A second phase to expand the patio and add additional seating is part of Harris’ long-term plans to meet customer demand.
The winery will remain open to the public throughout construction.
